MORE IDEAS:

Paul Young here-  One of my clients had me sing their customized version of “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” and,
during the intro, instead of mentioning the names of the deer, I was singing the names of employees who were entering
the room wearing novelty reindeer antlers.
Another client had me act as a “tour guide” taking guests on a tour of different countries during a slide show they’d
prepared.
There has also been a client that hired me to bring in tables, chips and cards for some 16-player Texas hold Em
tournaments, where I was the M.C. for the awards presentation and I played songs with poker references while they
were playing.
There also have been events where I played live banjo or steel drum.
I’ve done an event where I played live electric guitar during the dance, because I was booked as part of a live band for
the social hour earlier in the evening.
The request that took the most time to prepare, was one where I was provided with a list of names of all the employees
in advance and was told to find something to play for each of them as they walked to the podium to receive a special
award – they gave me names, their departments, and any interesting fun facts they could think of, and I went through
my music collection -- and prepared a CD with a sound bite for each employee.  Someone named Amy walked up as I
played part of "Once in Love with Amy" sung by Sammy Davis, Jr.; Another employee, with stock car racing as a hobby,
walked up to race engine sound effects and the refrain to "I Love Nascar" - and so forth!
One more example:  A client had me create 100 “Band Bingo” cards and run a Bingo game where I played a bit of a
song, while guests guessed the name of the band (and at the end of each one I congratulated the table of guests where
the correct guess came from first)
How it turned out:  We did not stop to “clear the cards” when there was a bingo, so winners simply lined up in front and
were handed prizes while the rest continued playing.  Eventually, all of the guests won something.
