| Real examples of planning from different clients Plans for May 17, 2008 – Scroll down to see “must play” song list Grand March Introduction music: Tonight Show Style Will you be using my microphone – and if so, at what time? Yes, for toasts, ~20 minutes after everyone has had a chance to get their food. Are there any special announcements you'd like me to make before the dance? Yes, the guest book will be on the table by the photo booth. There will be scissors and tape for them to paste a picture in the book, and pens for them to write a short message. Talent show table-release program: If you are having tables released to go through a buffet line, I can provide a microphone and music for guests to use in games that determine which table is released next. Small children could come up to the stage and sing a bit of a song and draw a number from a hat to see which table is released next. We are having a buffet, the table release program sounds fun! We liked the idea of kids picking numbers to see which table is released next. Should I wear something other than the black tux with black bow tie? Tux is fine. FIRST DANCE: Let me know the song title, artist, and how to word the introduction- for example: "Let's have a big round of applause, now for Kelly and Luis________as they dance their first dance as husband and wife." After Dinner: First Dance: We'd like to be announced as "Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Kalkofen" (Cal-ko-fen) Song: "Play Me" Neil Diamond...We'd like the original song not the remake. Song: "Sweat Pea" by Amos Lee Type of Music: We want just the usual good old wedding dance music. Nate hate's today's "Top 40" type of music so stay away from that as much as possible. Group Dancing Musts: - Cha Cha Slide - Electric Slide - Cotton Eyed Joe Must Plays: - A couple Polka's - Some Swing dance type music - Forever in Blue Jeans and Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond - Ring of Fire - Johnny Cash (Nate loves Johnny Cash so if you could play another one, you think is appropriate for the mood please do so.) - Stayin' Alive - beegees (please dedicate this song to Chris Pieper and don't play it until 8 or so...he needs a couple drinks to get on the dance floor J ) - The Boogie that Be - Black eyed peas (play later in the evening) - You shook me all night long" - ACDC - Billie Jean - Michael Jackson - P.D.A we just don't care - John Legend (play later in the evening) - Hip hop/rap must be played later in the evening and preferably the popular songs from 1997-2003...that's the age of the crowd and we don't really know the new stuff. - An Elvis tune Slow Songs: 1-2 for the older folks but that's it.
